Remember the old mood lip glosses and lipsticks that we used to wear in high school which turned into an awful bright pink or red sometimes. They resembled the picture below with that plastic packaging and roses on the container. Boy have we come a long way and gosh I really am possibly aging myself here.
Well the Tarte Energy LipSurgence skintuitive lip gloss is a modern version of that. I received this in my ipsy bag for October of 2015 and I had no idea what the purpose was, assuming it was just a clear gloss that smells like a freshly baked cupcake. So I put it on and it is non sticky, smells wonderful, and feels great. Sin this lip gloss is sample size I take it along in my purse or I leave it at my desk at work so I can reapply often.
While at work I applied the lip gloss in the morning and then needed to reapply pretty often since it’s not thick and long lasting. About mid morning I went to the bathroom and glanced up at the mirror to some very pink lips. I was definitely not expecting this lip gloss to have any color so I was pleasantly surprised. It was a bit of a shock since my makeup that day was not prepared for a pink lip. The next few days I made sure I used colors that would complement a pink lip and found this lip gloss sup addictive. Now I use it all the time and I’m surprised by how moisturizing it is. It’s always a plus when your lip gloss can double as your chap stick especially at work or on the run. The Tarte lip gloss is on sale at Tarte for $17. My sample lasted a few months so I would think you would get a lot of bang for your buck with this. Makeupalley has 5 star reviews for this and with Sephora at 4 stars you can pretty much guarantee a win. Let me know your thoughts. I would love to hear from you!0
